The Vanderbilt Student Research Training Program (SRTP) is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and allows medical students to conduct research under the direction of an established scientist in the areas of diabetes, hormone action, physiology, islet cell biology, or obesity at Vanderbilt during the summer between the first and second year or second and third year of medical school. Please remember that you must work on your Program research for 9-12 weeks and you must participate in the research symposium at Vanderbilt on August 4-5, 2010.

Instructions:

1. If you are NOT a Vanderbilt student, you must obtain a letter from the Dean/Registrar of your Medical School indicating you are a student in good standing (PDF file).

2. Complete the online application.

3. If you are NOT a Vanderbilt student, you will need to UPLOAD the letter from your Dean/Registrar into the online application.

4. Submit your online application (if you are NOT a Vanderbilt student, you will need to also submit the letter from your Dean/Registrar) by February 8, 2010.
